Greene County district court, week ending Aug. 11

In Greene County district court Robert Earl Rivers Sr, 55, of Fort Dodge was sentenced Aug. 9 to 60 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault- serious, amended from assault while displaying dangerous weapon. The jail term was suspended and he was placed on informal probation for one year. Rivers was fined $315 with a $110.25 surcharge. Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)

Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment during the week ending Aug. 11 as follows: Jennifer Ma Millard, 44, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- first offense; Shane Douglas Olson, 42, of Churdan, assault while displaying dangerous weapon, intimidation with dangerous weapon to injure/provoke fear, and criminal mischief- third degree; Vincent Andrew Ratliff, 35, of Jefferson, theft- fourth degree; Jason Scott Clark, 35, of Fort Dodge, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness; Dana Mark Johns, 54, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- first offense; and Trinity Glen Welch, 27, of Jefferson, driving while license barred. Trial dates were set for Sept. 20 for Olson, for Sept. 27 for Millard, Clark and Johns, and for Nov. 1 for Ratliff.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Christopher Michael Andrew, 19, of Scranton, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness (two counts); David Joseph Hedke, 18, of Carroll, possession of marijuana- first offense; Trinity Glen Welch, 27, of Jefferson, driving while license barred; and Allison Stoline, 20, of Jefferson, possession of fictitious license/ID.
